The Cervantes program is an intensive language program that provides you with advanced Spanish skills to speak fluent Spanish after 168 hours of guided instruction divided into six levels. The program recreates as much as possible the experience of being in Spain or other Spanish-speaking countries by recreating real situations such as booking tickets, renting an apartment, or speaking about current topics that are relevant to Spanish language speakers. Since the first session, students have been speaking, writing, and listening to Spanish. The method uses video, audio, and texts to enhance your virtual immersion in the Spanish language and culture.

The Cervantes program is divided into three parts: Basic/Intermediate/Advance. These levels have been designed following the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and the American Council on Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL). These bodies provide the method of learning, teaching, and assessment for foreign languages, which applies to all languages in Europe. As a means of validating a learner’s language ability, they have created six levels. These are now widely accepted as the European standard for grading an individual student’s language proficiency. Also, our program follows the guidelines provided by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL). The ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines have been created to assess the competency of a foreign language speaker. Beginner Level 1. Understand and use fundamental expressions to satisfy concrete needs.

Introduce themselves and ask others questions about personal details. Interact simply as long as the other person speaks slowly and clearly. This course is 28hrs.

Beginner Level 2. Understand frequently used expressions in most intermediate areas such as shopping, family, employment, etc. Complete tasks that are routine and involve a direct exchange of information. Describe matters of immediate need in simple terms.

Intermediate Level 1. Understand points regarding family, work, school, or leisure-related topics. Deal with most travel situations in areas where the language is spoken. Create simple texts on topics of personal interest. Describe experiences, events, dreams, and ambitions, as well as opinions or plans in brief.

Intermediate Level 2. Understand the main ideas of a complex text, such as a technical piece related to their field. Spontaneously interact without too much strain for either the learner or the native speaker. Produce a detailed text on a wide range of subjects.

Advanced Level 1. Understand a wide range of longer and more demanding texts or conversations. Express ideas without too much searching. Effectively use the language for social, academic, or professional situations. Create well-structured and detailed texts on complex topics.  T

 Advanced Level 2 (advanced conversation). Understand almost everything read or heard with ease. Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation. Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.

Students must complete 28 hrs to complete each level. This could be done in different ways.

  • – Once per week 2hrs during fourteen weeks (non-intensive).
  • – Twice per week 4hrs during seven weeks (intensive).

Prices:

  • Private student $35 per hr.
  • Groups $15 per hr. The maximum number of students is six per group. On-site courses are only offered at the moment in Miami, the Metropolitan area, and they have a transportation fee of $20 per day.

Material: the Institute will provide students with all the material needed for their courses, including books and other online resources.

Certification: The Institute will provide students with a certificate stating the level and competencies learned and the number of completed hours.   

Payment methods: Stripe.
Refunds & Withdrawals. The entire course fees can only be refunded only before the course starts or at the end of the second session. After the second session, course fees are non-refundable.
